About CollegeWeekLive (CWL)
CollegeWeekLive (CWL) is a two-day virtual college fair to help prospective students in their college planning by connecting them with colleges in a live, interactive environment. CollegeWeekLive next takes place on March 25th and 26th from 12:00 PM EST to 11:00 PM EST. The event will draw thousands of students from the US and abroad and over 200 major colleges. Attendance is free.
The event will feature:
Live streaming video keynote presentations from college admission experts addressing college planning topics such as:
o Financial Aid
o Standardized Test (SAT, ACT)
o College Admissions Trends
o Sports Scholarships
Real-time, interactive Q&A sessions with admissions officials
Live interactive video chats with current college students providing an insiders perspective on their school and the admissions process
Virtual booths for colleges, featuring electronic brochures, videos, webinars, podcasts and real-time IM and video chat between admissions counselors and students/parents
Networking capabilities to connect students with other students and service providers
A resource center for students and parents
A services center to allow guidance counselors and other providers the ability to market their services and products
Scheduled school specific presentations by admissions officials
Scholarship and financial aid resources to help students and parents
About CollegeWeekLive Scholarships
Are you looking for help in paying for college? CollegeWeekLive is proud to announce two college scholarship opportunities for the March 2008 show. The scholarship amount has been increased to $2,500 each, and can be applied to any accredited college, university, or trade school. Both college scholarships are totally free, and have only two basic requirements:
College Scholarship Essay, U.S. Students:
In 100 words or less, explain what one characteristic you have that will make you successful in college
College Scholarship Essay, International Students:
In 75 words or less, explain why you want to go to college in the United States
The second requirement is to log into and participate in CollegeWeekLive on
March 25th and 26th.
Applications are now open and the deadline for all entries is March 24th.
